Organizing Gathering & Book Discussion: Indians on Indian Lands with Dr. Nishant Upadhyay

Please join us for a South Asian organizing gathering about Indigenous solidarity and anti-caste organizing featuring the book Indians on Indian Lands.

The event will kick off with some chai, appetizers, and gupshup before getting into a conversation with the book’s author Professor Nishant Upadhyay (Univerisity of Colorado Boulder) and Chicago-based Indian organizers and academics — Neomi Rao (UChicago), Mounica Sreesai (Northwestern), Mohamed Mehdi (Oakton College) and Shweta Moorthy (Rad Rogers Park). We will wrap up with a community conversation about how Chicago-based South Asian organizing can be grounded in Indigenous solidarity.
