Independent Bookstore Day 2026!

Chicagoland is home to some INCREDIBLE independent booksellers, and we’re lucky to be counted among them. Join us for this annual celebration of the indies that help make our communities amazing places to call home.

For those intrepid readers who are able to visit 10 participating book stores, you’ll earn a card worth 10% off your purchases for a whole year at every participating bookshop! If you really want to earn those bragging rights, those that visit 15 locations get a card worth 15% off all year. We’ll be opening early at 9:00AM and staying a little later until 7:00PM to help y’all make it through your routes.

There will also be busses, a bike crawl, running tours (we’re on Route 5), and maybe even a trolley to help you connect. Book a bus route via eventbrite– we’re on the Red Route. If you’d like help planning out a route- come through any time in April and we’re glad to help make some recommendations.

We were floored with the turnout last year as a baby bookshop, and can’t wait to see y’all here again! We’re lining up some special guests to pop up at our location to add to the day’s excitement (more coming soon). Help us clear the shelves to make space for a BIG AANHPI Heritage Month restock by bringing some friends along with you.

We’ll be sweetening the day with some special prizes, exclusives, and our always-incredible collection of AANHPI authors on our shelves.
